The Process

How It Works

From application to your first job — a clear, simple process with no surprises.

01

Submit Your Application

Fill out the form below with your experience, availability, and the areas you can service. We review every application personally.

02

We Review & Connect

If your experience and availability are a fit, we'll reach out within 2–3 business days to schedule a brief call and go over the details together.

03

Onboarding & First Job

Once approved, we confirm your insurance, go over job checklists and expectations, and align on your service areas and availability. Then we start referring jobs your way.

04

Get Paid Per Job

Your pay rate is percentage-based and grows with your experience, client retention, and reviews. The stronger your track record, the better your rate and the more work we send your way.

Before You Apply

Requirements

To work with us, you must meet these standards before your first job.

Business Liability & Workers' Comp Insurance

Required

You must carry active business general liability insurance as well as workers' compensation insurance. Both are required before taking on any jobs. These are your responsibility as an independent business operator.

Reliable Transportation

Required

You are responsible for getting yourself to and from job sites across the Chicagoland area. A reliable personal vehicle is strongly preferred.

Cleaning Supplies & Equipment

Most clients supply their own products

Most of our clients provide their own cleaning products. However, you should come prepared with your own backup supplies and professional-grade equipment for situations where products are not available.

Operate as Independent Contractor

Required

This is a subcontracting arrangement — not employment. You run your own business, set your own availability, accept the jobs you choose, and are responsible for your own taxes and business obligations. No W-2s are issued.

What We Expect

  • Punctuality and reliability for contracted job appointments
  • Results that consistently meet the quality standard agreed upon at the start of each engagement
  • Professional conduct at all client properties — you represent your own business
  • Prompt communication if a job needs to be rescheduled or an issue arises on-site
  • Invoicing us per completed job in accordance with your agreed rate
  • Maintaining all required insurance coverage for the duration of your contract

What We Offer

  • Competitive percentage-based pay, determined by your experience, client retention, and reviews
  • Job-specific checklists provided for every assignment — no guesswork on scope
  • You control your own availability and which jobs you accept
  • Many first-time cleans convert to recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly appointments — building you a reliable, predictable income stream
  • Clients prefer working with the same contractor each visit — deliver great results and you become the go-to person servicing those recurring accounts
  • We understand that emergencies happen — just communicate with us and we'll work it out
  • Growing network with expanding service areas and increasing job volume
Common Questions

FAQs

What does the pay structure look like?

Pay is percentage-based per completed job. Your rate is determined individually based on your experience, how consistently you retain clients, and the reviews you receive. Exact rates are discussed during the onboarding call once your application is approved.

What insurance do I need to carry?

You must have active business general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance before accepting any jobs. These are non-negotiable requirements and are your responsibility as an independent contractor. Proof of coverage will be requested during onboarding.

Do I need to be incorporated?

No — sole proprietors are welcome to apply. You do need to be set up to receive independent contractor payments and handle your own tax obligations, including self-employment tax. We do not issue W-2s; subcontractors are issued a 1099 if applicable.

Will I know exactly what needs to be done at each job?

Yes. We provide a detailed job-specific checklist for every assignment so you know exactly what the scope covers. You handle the work however you see fit — our checklist defines the result, not the method.

What if the client provides their own cleaning products?

Most clients supply their preferred products, including eco-friendly options. We recommend keeping your own backup supplies on hand for situations where products are unavailable.

Can I build recurring clients through this partnership?

Yes — and it's one of the biggest advantages of working with us. Many first-time cleans turn into regular weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly appointments. Our clients prefer to have the same contractor return each visit, so if you deliver consistent results, you become the contractor we assign to service those recurring appointments. The more reliability you demonstrate, the more we prioritize referring you to those ongoing clients.

What happens if I have an emergency and can't make a job?

We understand that life happens. Just communicate with us as early as possible so we can make arrangements. We're reasonable — we simply ask for prompt notice so the client isn't left waiting. Consistent, last-minute cancellations without notice will affect the jobs referred to you going forward.

Am I required to accept every job referred to me?

No. As an independent contractor, you are not obligated to accept every job. You maintain control over your own schedule and workload. Contractors who consistently accept and complete jobs well do receive priority referrals.

Can I take on other clients or work with other companies?

Absolutely. You run your own business. You are free to work with other clients and companies simultaneously — this is an independent contractor arrangement, not an exclusive agreement.
